Obskaya-Bovanenkovo locomotives will run on LNG
Gazprom Gas Engine Fuels and Gazpromtrans have concluded a win-win cooperation agreement on 5 October 2017. The document is focused on using LNG as the engine fuel for Obskaya-Bovanenkovo rolling stock and power generation at railroad infrastructural facilities.
The project stipulates for the construction of small-scale LNG facility near the Obskaya station, mobile gas fillers site development, and building Gazpromtrans locomotive service points at Obskaya, Crossing Loop 15, and Karskaya stations.
Gazpromtrans is specialised in forwarding services to Gazprom branches. The company operates Obskaya-Bovanenkovo track, owned by Gazprom.

The railroad length totals 572. The railroad comprises 5 stations and 12 crossing loops, and 70 bridges totalling 12 km. The railroad was launched in 2011.
