In another 17 years the largest share of Russian crude will be produced at yet undiscovered fields
The country’s oil and gas sector is developing the promising petroleum areas actively. By 2035, almost 60% of oil will be extracted from yet undiscovered hydrocarbon reserves, as informed by Andrey Patrushev, Deputy CEO of Gazprom neft.
Reportedly, the development of new deposits will allow compensating the fall in oil production in the Russian conventional hydrocarbon provinces. Also, according to the company representative, Russia’s future demand for fuel will be met owing to the Arctic offshore.
The Deputy CEO considers development of new shelf fields in the Kara and Barents Seas highly promising.
